A.D. Draughting & Design Ltd was formed in 1999 by Sandy Donnelly as a sub-contract drawing office.

After working as the Chief Draughtsman with a large steel fabricators he saw the need for a quality drawing office with a sound technical ability and experience to match.

A.D. Draughting & Design Ltd mainly supply steel detailing and fabrication drawings, cladding and decking drawings to steel fabricators and engineers for the construction industry.

Initially we started using Strucad as the main CAD software and after building up to several work stations we decided to also add Tekla.

All draughtsman and engineers who were employed had either completed a full draughting apprenticeship or had an engineering degree (or both).

The company grew over the years covering contracts from up north to Oban and down south to London, and have completed work overseas.

As our reputation also grew we were involved in prestigious projects.

We were one of the few drawing offices who covered both primary steel and secondary steel.

Another main benefit we had was also to do the connection design.
